Porsche went with four GT1 to Le Mans 1998 but just two of them started in the race. The other two were painted green and white with Jever livery. These cars just ran in practise. For my conversion was a golden Le Mans Test car used.
The conversion:
I just had the opportunity to get a used model very cheap but it had some scratched which I filled. And the model got a new rear wing (the old one was broken).
I used Porsche white to paint the car and decals from a FLY racing model to which I added some selfmade decals.
But the FLY decals were very old so I couldn't use the roof decals. My solution: Paint the red parts with airbrush.
Here you can see the model with its varnish. Just the assembling process is missing...
...and of coure the detail process. Here the rear end of the model while it is getting black again.
The interior was original so I just changed the driver and colored it. Now Sandy Grau is sitting in the car.
