Porsche GT1 Evo 98 Street

The basement:
All in all Porsche had built five Evo 98 versions of the GT1 and one of it was made for the street. To build the model in scale 1/32 I used a GT1 which run in Le Mans 1998.

The conversion:
The model was used and so I had to put in some more work to make it look good again. Here you can see the front part which was primed.

Painting the car was an easy job. I just had to get Porsche white and spray the body and the wing.

Here you can see the selfmade license plates which the original car was wearing. I made them out of decals and the rear part is a selfmade plastic sheet.

Before I could assemble the model again, I had to do some detailing stuff: Painting rims silver, removing the Porsche writing on the screen, removing the Michelin writings on the tires, painting the side markers orange, detailing the backlights and many things more...

Here the body with its clearcoat. I detailed the body too. The slits in the fenders were painted black so it looks like the body is really "opened" there.

Last but not least: The interior. I removed many parts of the interior and just the dashboard is still original. Seats come from a Hornby GT3 as well as the shift-stick.

The finished model:
